ORIGIN:
"Bajji " is a typical south indian dish usually prepared on normal as well as celebrations or traditional parties.It is easy to prepare and is less time consuming.Since its main ingredient is bengal gram flour and oil,limited consumption only is permissible else results in stomach upset.

INGREDIENTS

Bengal gram flour - 300 gms.

Oil - 1/2 kg.

Red chilli powder - 1 tsp.

Rice flour - 50 gms.

Water - 1 cup.

Onion/bangalore brinjal/brinjal/potato - 1(each)

Baking soda - 1/4 tsp.

PROCEDURE

Step 1:Mix the bangal gram flour,rice flour,salt,red chilli powder with water in a bowl and keep it aside.

Step 2:Then chop the onions ,bangalore brinjal ,brinjal ,potato into circular slices and keep them aside.

Step 3:Heat oil in a frying pan (kadai).

Step 4:Take each vegetable piece and dip each of them one by one in the above prepared flour mixture and drop into the oil pan and deep fry until it turns brown.

Step 5:Repeat step 4 for each vegetable slice.

Step 6:Bajji is ready to be served.

Step 7:Serve hot with chutney.

NOTE:

*Please use the ingredients in the above mentioned quantity only.

*Do not heat the frying pan on high flame.

*Do not forget to peel off the skin of the potato.
