ORIGIN:
"Potato chappathis" (Aloo Paratha) are a typical day to day dish in the north india.Its main ingredient is wheat rich in carbohydrates and less in sugar content.Usually chappathis are taken as a main dish with some gravy or curry as the side dish.But potato is rich in starch ,diabetic patients please stay away.

INGREDIENTS

Wheat flour - 2 cups.

Oil - 1 tsp. (for each chappathi)

Water - 1/2 cup.

Salt - 1/2 tsp.

Boiled and smashed Potatoes - 2 cups.

Red chilli powder - 1 tsp.

Ghee - 100 gms.

PROCEDURE

Step 1:First peel off the skin of potatoes and cook them by adding water to the potatoes (till they immerse) in a pressure cooker for 10 minutes.

Step 2:Then smash the boiled potatoes.

Step 3:Mix wheat flour with water and salt and 1 tsp. of oil to make a dough.Leave it for 1/2 an hour.

Step 4:Then mix the smashed potatoes with rd chili powder and keep this aside.

Step 5:Now,size the dough into small balls.

Step 6:Then take one ball ,press with all the four fingers till it becomes flate and circular,dip in dry wheat flour(both the sides of the circular plate).

Step 7:Use a roti stick to make a circular thin chappathi with it .

Step 8:Each ball has to be made into a circular chappathi with the roti stick.

Step 9:size the smashed potato mixture into a small ball and place it at the centre of the circular chappathi and close it by pulling all the side to the centre.

Step 10:Now,dip it in dry wheat flour and again make into a circular shaped roti slowly with a roti stick.

Step 11:Heat tava ,add 1 tsp. of ghee,put the circular roti on the tava and heat till it turns golden brown.

Step 12:Then turn to the other side and add 1 tsp. of ghee and heat till it turns brown (light )

Step 13:Repeat it for each chappathi.

Step 14:Serve hot with raitha.
NOTE:

*Please use the ingredients in the above mentioned quantity only.

*Do not heat the tava on high flame.
