Wheat Dosa

ORIGIN :

"Wheat Dosa" is one of the popular dosa varieties and it is quick to make as like the usual dosa that is made of rice flour and Black gram dhal ,this one need not be grinded in a wet grinder and one need not wait till the yeast is formed and the dough becomes sour enough to taste.It originated very recently.

INGREDIENTS

Wheat Flour - 3 cups.

Rice Flour - 1 cup.

Green chillis - 5 pieces.

Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.

Oil - 2 tsps per dosa.

Salt - to taste

PROCEDURE

Step 1:Mix Wheat flour ,Rice flour ,chopped green chillis,salt to taste together.

Step 2:Now add 5 cups of water to it and mix well to get a thin fluid.

Step 3:Heat a frying pan ,add 1 tsp. of oil to it and add mustard seeds to it.

Step 4:Wait until the mustard seeds sputter.Now,add the mustard seeds into the flour mixture.

Step 5:Keep the flour mixture aside for about 2 hours.

Step 6:After 2 hours,heat 1 tsp. of oil in the tava for a minute.

Step 7:Now spread 8 tbsps. of the flour in a circular shape on the surface of the tava and add 1 tsp. of oil around the corners and wait until one side (bottom side) of the dosa turns brown.

Step 8:Turn the dosa ,add 1 more tsp. of oil and wait till this side is also cooked.

Step 9:Fold into a half and serve hot with coconut chutney / sambar.

NOTE:

*Take all the ingredients in the above mentioned quantity only.
*Immediately spread the flour on the tava,if you take long toime,it would stick to it.
