Wheat Rava uppma

ORIGIN:
"Wheat rava uppma" is popular among the people who diet .Its main ingredient is wheat rava (rava is made of maida whereas wheat rava is made of wheat) and so it has very meagre quantity of sugar content but rich in carbohydrates,so diabetic patients are often recommended to consume this dish.

INGREDIENTS

Wheat rava - 1 cups.

water - 3 cups.

Green chillis - 5

Mustard seeds - 1tsp.

Uradh dhal - 1/2 tsp.

Onion -1

Salt - 1tsp.

Oil - 4 tsps.

PROCEDURE

Step 1:First of all ,chop the onions and green chillis into small pieces and keep them aside.

Step 2:Then,heat oil in a frying pan and add mustard seeds ,wait until it sputters.

Step 3:Add the black gram (uradh dhal),chopped chillis and onions ,salt into the same pan and fry till the onions turn golden brown.

Step 4:Now add the wheat rava and water to the pan and let it boil for 15 minutes.

Step 5:Mix well while on flame.

Step 6:Serve hot with curds.

NOTE:

*Please use the ingredients in the above mentioned quantity only.

*Do not heat the frying pan on high flame.

*Mix well while on heat.
